Hi there. My name is Bailey. I run the Community & Culture team at OpenAI. More than 1 billion people use OpenAI's technology each week. Our team's focus is learning from the most engaged users and passing along what works to millions more.

From 2015-2021, I ran People & Company—a community lab I founded with Kai Sotto and Kevin Huynh. We interviewed extraordinary people organizers on our podcast and published a book called Get Together with Stripe Press. In 2021, we were acquired by Substack.

A decade ago, I grew the early community around Instagram, where I was one of the first ten employees. I have also worked at Substack, IDEO, StoryCorps, Pop-Up Magazine and The California Sunday Magazine, SFMOMA, and started a community radio station in Costa Rica.
